Giant coconut crabs

Have you seen these giant Coconut crabs before? They are usually found on Pacific islands near the date line and equator. This crabs are a common site for the natives. They would eat the males, the only meat they had other than seafood.



Coconut Crab (Birgus latro) is the largest terrestrial arthropod in the world. It is known for its ability to crack coconuts with its strong pincers in order to eat the contents. It is sometimes called the robber crab because some coconut crabs are rumored to steal shiny items such as pots and silverware from houses and tents. Don't believe me?

The coconut crab is a large edible land crab related to the hermit crab, and are found in the tropical Indian and Pacific Oceans . They eat coconuts for a living! How would you like to be on an island and come across a crab that is more than 3 feet from head to tail and weighs up to 40 pounds, with a pair of large pincers strong enough to open coconuts! They can climb trees too, but they only eat coconuts that have already fallen to the ground. Coconut crab meat has been considered a local delicacy. Come lets go eat crabs today!

The code word - Typewriter

A husband and wife decided that they needed to use "code" to indicate that they wanted to have sex without letting their children in on it so they decided on the code word Typewriter. One day the husband told his five year old daughter, "Go tell your mommy that daddy needs to type a letter."

The child told her mother what her dad said, and her mom responded, "Tell your daddy that he can’t type a letter at this point of time because there is a red ribbon in the typewriter." The child went back to tell her father what mommy said. A few days later the mom told the daughter, "Tell daddy that he can type that letter now."

The child told her father and returned to her mother and announced, "Daddy said never mind with the typewriter because he already wrote the letter by hand."
