
Part I - Theory
There are 3 parts of test in order to obtain a Malaysian Driving License. First and foremost you have to sign up with a driving school near you. You'll be require to attend classes for theory, amali, and sit for Malaysian driving code test (ujian undang-undang). You'll be required to answer 50 questions. Passing marks for this undang-undang test is 42/50. Having passed this part one, you'll will be given a "Learner" D license.
Part II - Practical test for parking.
This is to test your skills on the slope. (Mendaki bukit). Passing this slope test is COMPULSORY (WAJIB) in order for you to proceed to do the "side parking" and 3 point turn. If you fail the slope test, you fail the parking test completely. Next you'll proceed to do part III, which is the "On the road" test.
Part III - Practical test "on the road"
Depending on where you take your driving test. There are places like Subang, Wangsa Maju, Sri Sinar and many others. Most of the times, the route is quite hilly with many traffic lights. They, the examiner will test you in many areas and road conditions. Passing marks for this "on the road test is 16/20.
If you passed all Part I, II and III, you'll will be given a "P" (Percubaan/Trial) license. You are required to put the "P" sticker on the left hand side of both front and rear of the wind screen.
