Reason why you don't leave your laptop in car is because laptop detector does exist. Never ever leave your laptop in your car! If you do that, the next thing you realize when you come back to collect your car you’ll see your car side windscreen being smashed. There are lots of these cases happening in SS2 PJ and Damansara Utama. With this gadget called laptop detector, it can detects battery in the laptop which is still active even laptop is in off mode. Usually battery has internal clock that clock up battery fuel gauge IC.

This clock generate radio frequency signal which can be picked up by the detector. Even if the entire Notebook, Wifi, Bluetooth or what ever toot is completely in off mode, the gadget can still detect the notebook via radio frequency. Addicts are getting smarter nowadays. Do you think if I take out the battery they'll still detects it a not!!

dude, the lazer kat or whatever it's called is a speed radar detector and it costs at least USD100 not "less than RM50". i'm still not convinced of such RF detectors unless your bluetooth on yr laptop is on standby mode.
