Lower EPF dividend next year?

I read in the newapaper that the Malaysian Employees Provident Fund’s (EPF) total investment income for the third quarter (Q3) fell 60.4% to RM2.06bil from RM5.2bil in the previous quarter (Q2) as its investments, especially equities, were affected by the global economic uncertainty. I do not hope that they (the EPF big guns) are implying or giving an excuse for declaring lower dividends next year 2009. Last year's dividends was 5.8% percent.



Did you or did you not sign the Form KWSP 17A (AHL) Khas to maintain your employees monthly contribution rate at 11% percent? If you did not do anything, the company you are working in will automatically deduct your statutory monthly contribution 8% percent effective January 2009.
